Google Pixel 4 vs iPhone 11 | Side-by-side comparison

Comparing the Google Pixel 4 side-by-side with Apple's iPhone 11, to see which boasts the better camera tech, speediest performance, best battery life and most impressive specs.

The Pixel 4 just emerged in the UK for an asking price starting from £669, while the iPhone 11 is just under £100 more expensive. Despite this, Google's handset sports the better display tech, thanks to the crisp and vibrant 90Hz OLED panel.

As far as speed goes, both smartphones can play the latest games with a silky smooth frame rate. Neither impresses much for battery life though, just about making it through a full day with conservative use - although the iPhone 11 is definitely the superior phone, as media streaming will drain the Pixel 4 pretty fast.

The Pixel 4 and iPhone 11 both deliver a dual lens rear camera which can capture crisp photos in even quite tricky lighting conditions, with decent night mode smarts to boot. Google's handset can even shoot a starry night sky, as long as you don't live in London.

Meanwhile your choice is likely to come down to which software you prefer: iOS 13 vs Android 10. Both boast a dark mode, face recognition, eSIM support and similar features, although the iPhone 11 also supports WiFi 6. However, Android is a lot more customisable.

Google Photo storage was a bit misleading. You no longer get the original quality backups on the Pixel line so you’re getting the same as every other Android device and also the same as you get on the iPhone. No benefit regarding that anymore.

I've been on ios for a year with the XS Max after being on Android for a long time and using google's phones from the Nexus line the OG Pixel was my favorite. Although it's been a great experience there are things about android I miss like the round icons, the freedom to customize your homescreen, the notifications are much better imo and despite people hating on this Pixel 4 design I actually like it a lot. Might just grab one and keep my XS max as well.

Google doesn’t have free unlimited photo storage anymore for Pixel 4 tho Chris and at least the iphone has a 256gb option for less than the 128gb verison of Pixel 4

The pixel 4 gets the normal compressed version of unlimited google photos upload like any other phone will have after downloading the app including iphone. Pixel 4 doesn't get original quality google photos upload. A correction in the video would be appreciated.

Surprised by the statement that the iPhone’s battery wasn’t all that impressive on this review, I’m using an XR and the battery has been a revelation and the 11 is supposed to be slightly better still. As for the Pixel, this is the phone I wanted to get, but the compromises ensure I won’t. That battery life is stinking, and in true Google fashion, there’s too many bugs, as usual. I’m out!

You can also get Google Photos and back unlimited photos up from iphone, it just is "high" quality. But the pixel 4 doesn't offer unlimited at actual quality anymore, so it is exactly the same.

It's amazing that despite not being an AMOLED display and being less 1080p, the iPhone 11 still looks sharp.
The pixel 4 is a great phone, however, every year Google does something that makes people hate Pixels and I think most people will pass it this year as well.
The battery life and brightness are terrible, to be honest. It's not for heavy users, and most definitely not for someone who spends a lot of time in daylight.

IPhone smashes this overall as the camera is off the chain on the iPhone 11. Check out super saf video with mkbhd. Pixel 4 is a downgrade. Plus Google tracks you all the time
