I live in Miami and my girlfriend and I plan to move to Chattanooga and when you compared the traffic to Miami to there it was a big sigh of relief lol!

Chattanooga Tennessee is growing fast, all the open space is being filled with houses, apartments and new building. It is losing some of that small town charm, plus the crime rate is a little higher, other than that, I love it. Also, it is not for people with allergies or breathing problems. There are a lot of pollens here.

Once past Cleveland your in country.

Try Benton area if you want country. 16 to 25 miles back to Cleveland.

After living on Miami pretty much every where else is better lol I left and now live in Naples FL feels like paradise although the heat in FL is definitely not for everyone unless you want summer all year long.

It's a traffic jam from hell.
Commuting from Cleveland.

Did it for 12 years.
80 to 110 miles a day.

30 minutes. Now it can be 2 hours! Afternoons.

From say Red Bank.

My recommendation is Red Bank. Puts you there. Right next to downtown.
Lived on Signal too. Hated that drive.

Years on Lookout drive down is okay.
Lived on Ocoee in Benton TN.
Lived Next to Lipscomb in Nash.
Lived in Decatur ATL.😅 One year.

Worst schools in the state!!!! Literally had the title at one point.

More man buns than Seattle now. 😅

Wore masks a year after everyone else quit.

You are in GA AL TN.

I paid 78 a sf for 2500 sf home 2018.
178k. 238k sold. 2019

Then 425 for killer home Benton on river.
465 sold. 2021

Then 365 for one in Cleveland TN.
Sold 425 cash. 2021

Rents do not match wages. Way high.

Again if I move there it's Red Bank. Ain't living in the city.

We are wanting to move to Chattanooga, but we need the right aviation job to come along tor my husband. He is a corporate pilot and flys out of Dallas. We would move there in a heartbeat for the right job!!

Its either 600k subdivisions or scattered old housing.

Brainerd sucks now. Dupont is on ridge over river. Good option if you want remote but close. Have to do Amicola or 153 or in through North Chattanooga. Or freeway from Soddy side. Moccasin Bend up on ridge is probably high dollar now.

But close yet away from everyone.

I just do not like Ooltewah anymore.
Million houses on one road.

Thoughts on cloudland station? Staying here temporarily and thought it was an interesting concept if we decide to move here long term!

You should include catoosa county in Georgia, its basically chattanooga. I am 60years old and chattanooga born and raised, moved from hixson to catoosa county 35 years ago for better schools. I always call chattanooga home. Also mentioned civil war history
