Prime Minister Justin Trudeau became the first Canadian head of government to visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial on Thursday as he continues his trip in the country.

The memorial serves as the resting place for more than 250,000 victims. It's a solemn place not only for Rwandans but Canadians as well. It was a Canadian general Romeo Dallaire who was in command of the UN mission to the country in 1994 when the genocide was perpetrated against the minority Tutsis and the moderate Hutus. Estimates vary, but it's believed as many as 800,000 people perished in the genocide.

David Akin reports on what Trudeau did while visiting the memorial, and more on why he's visiting Rwanda in the first place.

Because this is what is important to Canadians?

He can't virtue signal in Canada without getting booed. So, off to Rwanda...

With all due respects to the survivors of this horror, mr. selfie is exploiting this tragedy for political purposes. justin is desperate to avoid addressing concerns in Canada and is using this occasion to create the impression he is caring world leader. Far from it, selfie boie is a sham, a make believe leader put in place because of his daddy's reputation.

How large was his carbon footprint to take this trip? Was it on tax payer dollars? What is he doing over there, when our country and its citizens need help?

Using other peoples tragedies for a photo opp. again! How absolutely disgusting, what were the inflight expenses this time? Could not care less about his own country while he’s on another self serving trip.

Remember what professor Pierre Gilbert told us about Rwanda? If you don't, look it up. Is history going to repeat itself in Canada? You decide what this is really about.

This was a perfect opportunity for the part time drama teacher to dress up in blackface again.

Another virtue signaling photo for the little king. Rwanda history being honored is unthinkable and deserves remembering the millions.
