Have a very close friend who served with the USMC and fought in many battles, including Fallujah.
One of his roles in the Marines was as a martial arts instructor.
He shared several of his wartime experiences, but the most memorable (and traumatic) was fighting house-to-house and hand-to-hand combat in Fallujah.
As a result of these and other experiences, he suffers from tinnitus, severe PTSD and 100% disabled.
Semper Fi, Brother.

Home boy is a son of Buffalo NY. Small towns across western NY put his picture up on billboard's during the summer. This whole state (excluding NYC) respect and honor this hero.

A true hero👍. Im a retired Army Ranger who served 24 years and my dad flew 25 missions as a bottom teret gunner in a B24 liberator during world war 2 and my grandfather served in WW1. I served multiple deployments in Afghanistan and Iraq. Its an honor to have served this country like my dad and grandfather did. RLTW👍

I shed tears of steel. I have so much respect for those who have served and still have the courage to witness what is happening in (gov) this country.

What an Amazing Hero, Just like his men beside him, those before him and those to come looking up at him as their hero. Plus the Amazing Hero he is, Just like his Grandfather.

This was like Stalingrad, room to room intense combat its to me the most terrifying type because there are so many angles you cant cover and some of it is just luck/fate/etc.

Much respect have I for any and all vets who served over in the combat zones. It’s one thing to serve in peacetime as I have. It is another to be in the poop when it hits the fan. You guys rocked it. Oooo Rah to you all!👍🏻🇺🇸

History channel had a whole program about this guy and his unit. If it was a movie you would have thought it was a corny and ridiculous. But it was real and true. Amazing bunch of guys lead by a super soldier.
