When I play the enemy randomizer, I know something about this comes with his own kite. You can just see a random string on the ground that leads to a kite in Hirata Estate, and then he goes from nowhere. Amazing.

He's using the ancient ninja art of clipping through his surroundings, using the break in physics to propel himself forward at high speed. And as Naruto has taught us, the louder you scream the stealthier you are.

Easily the best enemy/trap From has ever made. He'll only ever be topped when they finally decide to create an official Bonfire-mimic. Hopefully Elden Ring can finally be the one.

something underrated here is the 3D sound design

In a lot of games where something like this would happen, they would edit the sound/voiceline of the enemy to specifically fade in like you hear it, because it's a "scripted" event. But here when Zullie was close to the guy when he started, the sound played as you would expect to hear it if you were right next to him. Cool stuff
