This final scene puts a period on the issue of wether Light was genuine about justice. He was saddistically enjoying having played this innocent woman, he was gloating while she was walking towards her death because he could beat her. He's apsycopath on a power trip.

even though she's only in the show for a few episodes, naomi is one of my favorite characters... she had so much potential, she was so intelligent and had a great revenge motive after raye died. i think she easily could've outsmarted light along with L if she'd been on the task force. her death is so tragic, especially the way it's portrayed at the end. this is the moment where i started to officially root for light's downfall and was excited to see how he would eventually get caught
