It is actually such a funny thing to see this as a german. It kinda shows that you are just interested in other cultures no matter of the quality of the products, for example songs. I would say these songs lyrically are quiet weird and boring, but to foreign people this might sound really cool, like for me japanese for example. It opened my eyes.

I’m Argentinian and I had met a German girl one year ago by Tandem. We got on well really fast, and we started to talk for hours! One day, we decided to made a call by Zoom. We debated a lot of things, but one topic in particular caught my attention: music.
I used to listen to some German songs, sometimes Disney songs, for example, and I had thought that German music was pretty amazing, but my friend told me: our music sucks! Our language is so strong and ugly, unlike Spanish, which is so harmonious and beautiful!

Guys, I was really confused. I know that German doesn’t sound romantic like French or Italian, but it has its gorgeousness.
On the other hand, she loved Argentine music, and I really hated it. I mean, our dialect is not as you may think, we don’t speak as Mexicans or Colombians, we’re quite different. We sound like Italians surprised with their own language, talking in Spanish. I couldn’t understand how my friend loved Argentine music, when I thought that was so horrible (another reason why I hated our music is because in general it is pure reggaeton and trap, I never liked those genres)

We didn’t understand each other. Why did my friend loves our music, which is so ugly? We began to reflect about our culture, both thinking of the other's words, maybe German and Argentine music weren’t so ugly as we thought.
What am I going with all this? Sometimes, we don't value our roots as much as we should. I think we both shared an inferiority complex, she thinking that her language wasn’t as beautiful as it was Spanish, French, Italian. Me, thinking that the music of my country was not as recognized and good as that of other places. I think that one begins to appreciate what you has when another person with a totally different perspective than yours opens your eyes and shows you a new world. Germans, know how to value your music and your culture, 'cause it’s really wonderful ❤️

I'm from Russia and I'm surprised how Germans surprised on their songs. I'm listening to such german songs in VK since 14. You have a great, nice, beautiful language which sounds strong and in the melodies like this gives some unique atmosphere, like no language does, except Finnish or Frisian maybe. Greatest playlist, I'm for sure will listen to it a lot! Thanks!
