I'm with James on this one. I find this so interesting. I'd spend ages there looking through all those things, . Getting in the vehicles etc. Fascinating.

I love how James used the Pyrex saucer to date the building, rather than the old pickup truck lol

How can Jeremy not find this one of the most interesting thing in the world!?

That is Isachsen, a weather research station built in 1948 as a joint venture between the US and Canada. Functioned for 30 years before the site was defunded by the Canadian government in 1978. Due to its extreme inaccessibility the buildings and almost everything in them were left behind and remain at the site even to this day.

Who else just adores the way May says the word "interesting" when he's genuinely excited about something?

I lived there for 2 years. Isachsen. I know those rooms, I drove that yellow pickup truck. I sat in those chairs.

All I could think of was The Thing. I was almost expecting something terrible to pop out at them.

This is extremely interesting actually, wish they'd shown more of that downed plane they found as well.

Yes i loved that Top Gear special episode. This scene feels like it's right from a new story of the john carpenter 1982 "The Thing" movie. I think they even had the theme song from The Thing at one place in this Top Gear episode.

James would probably find urban exploring to be quite fascinating.

1:04 "NO! Look... It's a cupboard full of crockery!"

"A cupboard? With Crockery in it?!"

Forget Richard Hammond, these two on their own are amazing.

"Only one slight problem" God I love James May's dry sense of humour

_”no loook!_ It’s a cupboard full of crockery!

The camera crew doesn't get enough recognition on this trip.

Seeing a building like that after days in the sheer nothingness must be like seeing the face of Christ in a bar of soap or something.

We all know that Jeremy was loving it when off camera

This is like master and commander to me. James being the doctor/naturalist, and Jeremy being the militant, dutifull commander.

Those front end loaders are in really nice condition.

I lived in that station with Kurt Russel for a short while. On my last day riding in the chopper out. I noticed a fellow chopper, it was Norwegian. If I remember correctly it was chasing a dog for some reason.
