One of the BEST guitar solos ever recorded. A masterpiece!

This song is a lot more than about starring into space. It's about lost and the will to live. About escaping the pain of living and crossing over to the next life. It's a brilliant song.

This is my favorite Priest song. It’s one of the greatest rock songs ever written, imo.

One of the best songs by Judas Priest🤘 'The Sentinel' is another one worth checking out🤘

The lyrics, which were written by singer Rob Halford, revolve around a depressed person who has entered a nearly apathetic state of mind and finally dies, most likely by his own hand.

Great song. Older Priest rules. I'm still holding out for Dreamer Deceiver/Deceiver off of Sad Wings of Destiny album. A two part song that I consider Rob Halfords vocal masterpiece. Its a great lyrical story for Brad and a musical rollercoaster journey for Lex. You will definitely like that one. Thanks .

The song is about someone who has withdrawn into their on mind and is non verbal to those on the outside . Almost as if in a coma. He suffered a trauma so deep that he escaped the real world by retreating in his own head until he died and truly set him free.

This is probably my favorite Judas priest song to me it feels like their stairway to heaven. I like all priest though I must confess.

40 years ago I heard that this song was about Euthanasia. The person in the story is in a vegetative state, being cared for - washed, cleaned, fed by others. No sign of life until the moment he's about to die - awakened he smiles because now he is free.

That first solo to me is soul crushing the guitar weeps and it fits the lyrics perfect .

I've been listening to Judas Priest for the majority of my life and Halford's range still amazes me!! I don't think many people would disagree that Black Sabbath were the pioneers of heavy metal, but I've got them 1a and Priest 1b. Tipton and Downing's twin axe attack really changed the game!!

Halford's singing is spectacular here, particularly the slow parts.

Early Priest...no words to describe. There has never been anything quite like it. Yeah, that's why they are called the Metal Gods. Like others have mentioned already, the sweet spot is the first 8 albums. Love your content!

For decades, I have cherished the solo from. Glen Tipton in this song. It’s got such piercing and fluid movement, and just sears across every chord change throughout. This is Tipton’s opus. It’s reassuring to see others in the comments confirming this. I’m so grateful I had the opportunity to see him play this solo, as Beyond the Realms of Death wasn’t always part of their set. Aside from Victim of Changes, possibly the greatest of Priest songs.❤

When I was in the Army I had this on cassette tape, and I played it on a loop almost constantly used to drive my roommate in the barracks crazy

To me, the album STAINED CLASS was their watershed moment and also for it's impact upon heavy rock music. It set a new standard and influenced countless bands to come. You should do more songs from this album. 😊
