Danny being "solid" is an understatement. On MTV's parkour challenge he was wiping the floor with everyone on pure parkour challenges. I don't think anybody was on Danny's level when he was in his prime.

From the perspective of watching other people do the manpower gap.. It is just a "drop". But from standing on the edge of it. It is so much more than just a drop. 😂

Spot modification makes it a different obstacle and should be considered a different class. Doing it as-is versus using whatever you need to get it done. It's like glitchless versus any% in speedrunning.

Storror also has used plywood and even grip tape on some roofgaps in RCA.

i think a sporadic "olimpic like" type of event might be cool. Like olimpic high jump competition logic, but for various skills, like kong pre category, dub kong one, lache, dynos and so on. increasing gradually the distance requires spacific setup and broad spaces to fit all the categories (i feel like they might be endless) so i can spot why isnt a thing yet. but parkour world record might be cool (or might not)

Skaters (and climbers) have the best nomenclature! In parkour we might have the worst... 😁😁

Love this series and love this video. I'm in total agreement with almost everything Rene has said in all of these videos.
If you guys need ideas for future discussions, what about the idea of wearing extra protection during training? There seems to be a stigma attached to using protective gear in parkour, the same way that there is a stigma surrounding helmets and pads with skaters. (Although, the reasons for each are probably pretty different.)
I was recently asked by my martial arts teacher why I don't wear protective gear when doing parkour. I've had to skip out on class a few times in the past due to parkour-related injuries, which is why he asked. My argument was that those injuries were internal and weren't things that would've been prevented by external protection and the proper way to prevent them would've been through better conditioning and judgement (and better luck, in some cases).
Other than with my martial arts teacher, this subject hasn't come up that often, so I'm curious if a debate on this exists anywhere.

I've got a quick question if that's all right, I'm turning 18 and I've been trying for about 3 years consistently, so I feel like I'm at a pretty critical time for my training. One of my biggest mistakes was not doing as much strength training or endurance training or much outside of parkour itself. And that's resulted in crackly poppy knees that aren't as stable as I need them to be. Recently I've been working on rehab and stretching more consistently and trying to add in leg exercises more consistently throughout my week. With being at the age that I am at if I stay consistent with working on my knees whilst training, is it possible to avoid future and current damage and still be able to train for a long time? I should mention my knees don't hurt yet there's no pain, but they do pop a lot and some of it doesn't go away with warming up
