Authorities have been battling the fire since it was reported in the 3000 block of Sites Lodoga Road around 4:15 Sunday evening.
By 7:30 Monday morning firefighters had contained achieved 40% containment of the fire.
Over 540 acres have burned so far.
No structure damage or injuries were immediately reported.
