In this video, I am using Metricbeat to monitor the Logstash node to be able to see node and pipeline metrics in the Kibana Stack Monitoring UI.

Watch how I use Metricbeat to monitor Elasticsearch:

Watch how to generate certificates to secure the Elasticsearch cluster:

Watch how to setup Logstash to ingest FortiGate syslogs:

Thank you for watching!

Did you have a pipeline running or do I need to have a pipeline running before I start seeing data in the kibana monitoring UI?

What configuration did you have in Logasth (logstash.yml) before metricbeats? Is there something that needs to be done in logstash before hand?

Hello, I am just wondering about why we used metricbeat for monitoring to logstash? What is the differences with first monitoring which you showed at kibana?

I'm new in monitoring and logstash, I want to create some alarms to monitoring logstash's service, this alarms will send a message in ms teams. What are the best metrics to do it? I'm think to use disk space e cpu usage but i dont now how to monitor logstash to keep it healthy, could you give some advice to help make it?
