In all seriousness you might want to back off just a little bit. With our little phobic kitty who hid under the bed, we didn't try to touch him or even look at him for the first weeks. We would say " Mishtu we love you " from the doorway then leave him alone. ( we were quiet when changing food and litter. ) We talked amongst ourselves and went about our business. It allowed Mishtu to feel safe and almost invisible. Because we didn't approach him, he eventually came to us. He started sleeping on top of the bed with my mother in law. Then several weeks later he came to scope me out then finally my husband. We played hard to get and I think it sped up the process, at least in our case
Allow him space to be curious about what the rest of the household is doing while he's alone sulking in his bunker. Just a idea. All cats are different.

I totally agree to let the cat to be by itself for some time. It happened many times with strays i rescue. They prefer to check on you...not you check on them. 😂 cat boss.
