Could the future of space travel involve a giant laser propelling tiny spacecraft at 20% of the speed of light? It may sound like science fiction, but this idea has been selected for further development by NASA. Join us as we delve into the details of this ambitious plan, exploring how the pressure from a truly ridiculous laser could accelerate tiny spacecraft to 20% of the speed of light. Is this the future of interstellar travel? While the outcome remains uncertain, the possibilities are both awe-inspiring and thought-provoking.

Not a new concept. The building and deploying micro space crafts which can be propelled by laser was recently chosen as a proposal

Do you have a link to this? I’m super curious to know what tiny little crafts would carry/transmit.
