June Sarpong on the Windrush scandal

The Windrush generation are not here illegally, so it’s time to show a bit of respect to our elders says June Sarpong.

I was invited to a 70th Windrush anniversary event, however I am not a hypocrite and refused the invitation. No one of the Windrush generation should have attended either. I believe the only event those from Windrush should have undertaken was initially, March to 10 Downing St, then onto the Home Office to protest in regards to how we have been treated over so many years. I have more principles than that, my parents taught me from a very young age never to let any one walk over me and I see those from Windrush attending these ceremonies allowing these complicit politicians to get away with a racist policy, yea, my Windrush family disappointed me greatly by attending these hypocritical celebrations.

Give these people back every single penny of taxes they have paid in the UK and I'm sure they will go happily.

This was more than a scandal I prefer to use the word conspiracy. As one of the individuals affected by this issue I cannot understand that in an age of computers, why wasn't the information transferred onto the database before destroying the landing cards, it just don't make sense and is why I will always call it a Conspiracy.

This was not a mistake it was always intended to happen this way. My parents came here in 1955, to assist in cleaning up this dustbin of a country. I used to say to my mum when they came here and faced so much racism from these Heathens, her and my father should have taken the first ship back and leave them to live in their FILTHY country.
