Nobody's voice has ever touched me like Simone's does especially when paired with this type of music. I could listen to it for hours on end even without the music in the background. She is just incredible.

Simone, she is one of the greatest vocalists out there! 👌👌

Simone is an A+ frontwoman as always, but I think Mark really stole the show during the bridge of the song- his emotional portrayal looked truly authentic, and that's something to be admired and appreciated. Overall, the band looks like they're having fun and enjoying a healthy group dynamic- Epica is in top form these days!

At least from my experience, your opinion about an Epica song is never fully formed until you listen it some good 20 times.

It usually starts in "well, this is kinda weird", then you listen again, and again, and again, and when you see you've listened to the music a thousand times and it is INSANELY FUCKING AMAZING!

I saw Epica live as an opener for Overkill and they blew me away. Been a fan ever since. This song is great. Epica always delivers and I'd dare say even has evolved their sound. Haters can hate all they want. "True fans" can hate all they want but I will support the sound they are going for.

They're doing their best to bring new material to us, to improve, change and do something new as all bands should do. Epica is always creating new different songs and improving in the symphonic metal scenary. Every album they release is different from the previous and that's why you never get sick of them. The band always do their best and will keep doing it for a long, long time, I hope. This song is good, not their best and heavy but still good. THP is a lot heavier than this song and I'm counting the days for the release. Thank you, Epica!

Her vocals is really unique plus the symphony of the orchesta adds more quality to it. Thats why I love Epica so much.

Really, how can people not see the difference between this song and the older ones? They are using the same elements (the choir, the heavy riffs from DYU, the oriental colors) in an entirely different and refreshing arrangement. They are definitively evolving from the decaying symphonic metal movement, where all the bands are trying to reproduce the early nightwish's atmosphere (and not succeeding). Does it sound a little poppy? Yes! But it is a good thing, it is progress. It will serve to refresh Epica's fan base, for them to get rid of all the old-school closed-minded people who evaluate music based on labels rather than feelings and quality.
Maybe the metal scenario should learn a little with pop music to transform into something bigger, new and exciting again. Who knows?
Anyway, loving the new work!
