Unless she has lethal, shes on a timer to kill him now and she doesnt untap either. Also she says she had Stasis in play already, meaning she's already been paying the blue to keep it active and also not untapping this whole time. She's put herself on a clock to find lethal with her remaining mana and creatures on the board or else she has a tapped board with him unlocking his full board. So while it is a cheeky little counter play 1. He 100% has not lost yet and 2. In a multiplayer game like Commander, she is firmly the threat at the table as shes hindering EVERYONE'S ability to play anything.

So for all of you in the comments saying "im gonna run this in all my blue decks from now on" have a win-con already in place or enjoy being targetted by everyone and losing every single game.

dont they phase in specifically before the untap step?

unless she has creatures out which is not shown she will run out of mana to keep stasis going so for one turn she cant reduce his life total so he didn't just lose the game.

You still keep the protection until your next turn, its just significantly less useful due to your infinitely phased out creatures

So, protection from everything for one turn, everything the player controls phase out. The players next turn: the player returns with an empty board ready to take the pounding of their opponent(s).

Looks like she is tapped out except for a mountain and an island. So unless she has other ways to make blue, she is cooked

Assuming that She also has to have a way to kill him, but with stasis, it could be hard and she might deck herself... Or set herself up and then let stasis die, but again, might be tough depending on her board

Why wouldn’t he have the protection from everything still? Or do they mean after the initial turn rotation?

I thought you phase in at beginning of turn, before Untap

Uhhh am I dumb or misunderstanding? It seems like that wouldn't work because it said before the untap step, so it would just phase in at the start of your turn? Or am I mixing up

Theferis protection says they return during the untap. They’ll be back before the upkeep
