Mr. Heater "Buddy" heaters are safe indoors, but why? And are other manufacturers indoor safe as well?

Thanks. Never understood the "just open a window" people.. it's not like I'm trying to crank these up on a nice day. Opening a window totally kills the point. Knowing what to monitor is the only thing that makes these useful indoors imo.

Absolutely excellent my was concerned at burning a calor gas heater in my campervan, with only the side window and the passenger side window open (one inch and 3 inches respectively) but obviously there is enough oxygen passing between the two, because the fire continued i am now relieved...Cheers

Many many many many enclosed warehouses use propane powered forklifts
inside the warehouse alongside of many employees. Is it safe?

I had a Buddy Heater that leaked propane . Melted some of the plastic . Never leave a flame heat source unattended . Candles star a lot of home fires .

I used my Big Buddy Heater in my bus and decided i would only use it for emergency use. For 1 it puts out a ton of condensation, which of course causes mold. For 2 it would go thru a ton of propane. For 3 even with a window cracked, i would still wake up hacking and coughing. I am currently switching to a diesel heater that vents to the outside. Yes, these are safe if you take the precautions, but I'd prefer a vented heat!

I used my Buddy heater in my garage for a party using a 25 lb tank, but had to turn it off because of the smell

I have one that’s absolutely identical to the red one but mine is a different brand, and it says outdoor use only, I think probably comes down to which companies want to get their certified and who wants to run the risk of saying theirs is indoor safe

Was looking at getting a my buddy heater. Just curious about how many hours would you estimate you get out of one little green bottle of propane if the heater is set to high?

I use a Mr Heater that holds the 20lb tank inside it, it has three 6kbtu tiles. It burns cleanly. I also have a Mr Heater forced air propane (salamander style) it doesn't burn cleanly, it would be very deadly to use inside.

How safe is the buddy if I put an adapter on it to use a larger tank
