How to use the DCOUNT and DCOUNTA functions. The DCOUNT counts numerical cells from a database based on a certain criteria, and the DCOUNTA counts nonblank cells from a database based on certain criteria.

Customize ribbon MS excel 2013. I want to add the Tools tab and everything under it to the Main tabs already listed, but can't figure out how?  The drop down shows All, Main, Tools, yet no where does it show how to SEE the Groups and Commands under the Tools Tab? It's like the Tools tab and everything in it doesn't exist?

I downloaded a pre-made chart from MS Excel called Diet Exercise Journal. I am learning how to manipulate each sheet, but am stuck on the last thing. I wanted to have a tracking of one month showing each days intake, but it is only allowing the source data of 2 weeks to be transferred to another sheet to be shown as a graph/chart and I don't know why it is stuck on a 2 week time period. There is a notice that says: The last two weeks will be displayed on the dietary analysis chart on the Goals sheet.  It won't let me add data of the other two weeks to be put into the chart.  Do you know how to remove the block time period block?

Great. Wonder why, I tried it out and both dcount and dcounta can find the correct result of alphabet content?

Everytime I use the the actual name for the field with "" it Just gives me a value error.

You can in fact use cell reference for column names
