The hardest part about playing support is sometimes it feels like it doesn't matter how good of a game you give your carry. I can give my carry a legitimate free lane at his tower for 10 minutes straight, I'll leave the lane and check back in on their progression a few minutes later.. and they will be farming small camps letting waves die in the tower and are inexplicably behind. Then, if you say alright.. this guy isn't playing so I'll take his farm that's dying at the tower, your other carries will frantically ping you and type "Y IS SUPPORT FARMING?!". In those games, I genuinely don't know what to do in order to win.

Spamming oracle support is what got me to divine. Playing support, you're the invisible hero. I like support, it really feels like you're controling the game

I guess the main tips for success I would give.

1. Stay cool. Being mad makes nobody but the other team win and yourself get "hardstuck"
2. If you're actually trying to be better at MOBA's, never stop thinking about strategies.
3. Actually have fun and stop when you arent

Thanks BSJ. Hardest part for me is figuring out when it's over. Some high MMR players taught me to only quickly nuke the wave out and return to the team when I identify an opportunity. I always either start walking away before i should and have to walk back because something happened while I'm in-transit or i spend so much time making sure I can leave that I lost like 15 seconds where i could have been walking to push out a wave or drop a deep ward (which then causes me to arrive late to the next fight). Support is hard...

At my rank supports usually nuke the wave with all their mana right infront of cores instead of looking for a creep camp close or just regering up mana

Yeah, i get flamed by cores for securing range creep, and pushing out lanes like he suggests at my bracket. Tanking mirana arrow so my carry dont take it, get flamed, waiting for silencer ult before using death ward on wd, get flamed, asking my carry to get bkb on a full enemy stunner lineup get flamed..
Force Staff my carry out of danger good job, but you died because of it get flamed.
150 gold away from my core item leave me 3 creep, carry will still take all so I try to take 1 jungle camp and get flamed now im called farming support.
To all carry players this is what I hated the most, dont just farm deep jungle push out lanes while farming to make pressure on enemy towers.

How would you play this scenario if you were a Pos 4 with low mana and ulti available but who doesn't have an ability that allows them to get back out on the map super quickly? Bring out a mango/clarity and farm til they come? Walk back holding TP? Just make sure you had some mangos or clarities on hand to begin with?

Whats the diff between pos 4 and 5, their role kinda the same

i always find myself with litteraly 0 resources, like 0 mana and lower then 50 percent life, with no tp, especially in the laning phase as a 5 or so: should i go back to base buy tp and tp on tower or, fly out mangos and clarity (usually 2 clarity) and a salve but not progresing on items (like mana boots very late)? Btw this happens to me ofter with mana hungry hero like storm on the midlane, i tend to go back to base often cause i feel like sending 3/4 clarity would slow my farm too much and it's not worth it.

Been playing mostly cores 1/3 but starting to enjoy support, gotta say there's so much farm in the map team isn't taking whenever trying to make a move, it's a crime not to take them!
