More overheating tests please! Great stuff and thank you!

As suggested, would like to see an in-depth analysis of any overheating issues when recording at the highest bitrates.

I live in Thailand and the R5 used to overheat after 20 min while shooting 4k 60fps IPB. Indoor with the aircon turned on maybe it could last a bit longer but outdoor no way it would go further!

I sold my GH5 and I was waiting a long time for a camera that is better in every way. This finally is it. (except it can’t do All-I like the GH5)

I am pretty excited for the Mark2. One issue I have with my R6 is that it does not allow internal recording while outputting clean HDMI. Is that still a problem with the mark 2?

Definitely good upgrades with dual card recording and limitless record time, but here are my two deal breaker questions.

1) Can it be powered by USB-C power bank with a battery in it? I want long duration battery life without having to swap batteries in extremely long shoots (i.e dance shows).

2) Can I see the flip out screen when using HDMI-out? Canon has been crippling their cameras in that manner since the 60D, 70D, 80D, etc. Why can’t we just have the back screen on while running HDMI-out to an external monitor/recorder?

Not having a full hdmi connection is a deal killer for me. I'm disappointed as I've had so much trouble using an external monitor with my Sony A7R111.

Canon had better get some more RF lenses out there soon (including/especially for APS-C) so we can get some affordable third-party lens options for RF mount as well. I'd love to see the Sigma f1.4 primes for RF-S, but Canon won't allow it yet.

12:16 This let me know that you're limited creatively.

You tested 4k 24p, why not do the others as well though.

I thought I seen on cvp video the lens breathing is supported on RF 24-70, 15-35, 70-200 as well at start?

The AF system of the new canon cameras seem great, but I’m curious do you get similar performance w/ EF Canon or Sigma glass.

If it wasn’t for that micro HDMI, this would be a killer camera. I think if you are between Sony A74 and R6 mark 2, I think Canon should be the better option for sure

Just the fact of the false colour and pre-record makes it an insta-buy B-cam to my R5C.

I do not understand why on the Canon R6 Mark 2 that you can't get 10 bit internally in all picture profiles like on the Panasonic S5 and Sony A74

All these updates but still no horizon level while recording option. Insane.

I just ordered the R6 Mark 2. How well does the Tascam XLR adapter work with the RS? The specs for the Tascam say it will work with the R5 and R3. I shoot both stills and video

Thanks for a great walkthrough. One question though: Can you use an external monitor (not recorder) while still using the internal screen and touch focus? This is not possible on the mark 1 and my biggest frustration when filming.

Can I ask a genuine question of you please?
You say ergonomically the R6 is a ‘dream to use’. Why?
The side hinged flip out screen is a disaster for me, it’s slow, obtrusive and conspicuous, surely it’s there solely for people who want to film or photograph themselves (in over 500 weddings shot I’ve never had the need to do either). Don’t you think Canon should give us a choice instead of forcing this damn screen on us? Even other videographers I speak to prefer the tilt screen like on the BMP4k pro or the hybrid like on the GH6 and Sony A7RV.
I’d love your thoughts, because when trying to justify it people struggle and usually say it’s for self filming and if you want to shoot high up or low down, both of which you can do with a flexible tilt screen.
Thanks.
