One of my favorite reasons to be watch the Olympics is to see all of the perseverance that these athletes have. We get to hear about some of their backgrounds, and many of them battled bad injuries and illnesses, but are still at the Olympics and competing to the best of their abilities. As someone who is battling chronic illness and a recovering ed, I had to be taken out of the sport that I loved so much because my health deteriorated. These people are an inspiration to me and for me to get back on my feet💜
