In 1994 came Ofra’s deepest album ever. Kol Haneshama (The Whole Soul) is in Hebrew, there are no English or Arabic parts in the songs this time. The style is deep, emotional soul with folk elements. The hauntingly beautiful title track was composed by Ofra and Bosnian composer Goran Bregović for the movie „Queen Margot”, based on Alexandre Dumas' novel (on the movie soundtrack it was renamed „Elo Hi”).

Lyrics (English translation):

On the waste shown
All the abundance is on fire
How without an account all the time
We burn what we have and all our dreams
Wrapped in sweet words

On the runaway
Run to tap the credit
Learning to account all the time
We live on what we have and all our dreams
Wrapped in sweet words

It will come suddenly
It will come out of nowhere
It will come suddenly
With great love

He will come suddenly
He will come like
Ending a dream of distances
With great love

The legends that exist
Flying in the world
Like a pile of feathers
They find their place
But if your place is different
You shouldn't give up, you shouldn't

This reminds me of tori Amos

Or some indie rock bands like the velvet underground.
