Profound and practical as usual, Simon. Thank you!! Isn't amazing what you think is obvious to yourself is completely NOT OBVIOUS to others? I need that reminder constantly.

The other reason to write down/ openly display an organization’s why is to serve as the roadmap for difficult situations when the going gets tough (diminishing net profits, personnel issues, etc.). Often when things get uncomfortable it becomes easier to mentally justify drifting off the why in an effort to get back on track, with the idea that we’ll get back to our “core values” once the crisis is past.
