World Cup Season 2025 in a nutshell
40 players will compete in the World League & Regional Majors from November 17th to June 2025, earning Points that contribute to their World Ranking. After the season the top 12 players will advance to the World Cup Finals.

Alongside this, there will be additional events, offering 4 non-league players a chance to prove themselves and claim the last spots for the grand finale in August 2025.

This sounds great. But I hope the match format is changed so that moving rounds aren’t predominant. I get that people differ, and not everyone finds them as much of a drag as I do. But the rng of where you start, how fast street view moves in any one place, which direction you head — is not much fun to watch for me. Again, get that others differ. But move, nm, move, nm, nmpz means that moving is the dominant format - always at least two rounds.

I hope they listen to the fans and get balance out the formats. There should be M, NM, NMPZ in random order. Remove multis and round limits. Also add in Team tournaments as well as some other fan favorites like Hide n Seek and race to the border.

I can’t believe people don’t like the multipliers. literally the best part and rounds would be so boring and long without them. that hype and heck grand final with MK and blinky would not have happened without multis. no multis = better player always wins, which is lame asf and defeats the purpose of a tourney if upsets can’t happen, just give the trophy to the highest elo at that point.

I just think it'd be great to tweak the format a little based on what the players actually give as feedback. I see a lot of "Moving is RNG and OP" and I kinda agree with it, however, it can't be really done away with but it can be nerfed a little via point multipliers and time.
