Things went a little pear-shaped during Ryan Gosling and Russell Crowe's interview. Ryan, please come back!

Watch The Late Show with Stephen Colbert weeknights at 11:35 PM ET/10:35 PM CT. Only on CBS.

---
Stephen Colbert took over as host of The Late Show on Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2015. Colbert is best known for his work as a television host, writer, actor, and producer, and best known for his charity work teaching English as a second language on Tunisian date farms. Prior to joining the CBS family -- and being officially adopted by network president Les Moonves -- Colbert helmed “The Colbert Report,” which aired nearly 1,500 episodes and required Stephen to wear nearly 1,500 different neckties. The program received two Peabody Awards, two Grammy Awards, and several unwelcome shoulder massages. It won two Emmys for Outstanding Variety Series in 2013 and 2014, both of which appear to have been lost in the move. Colbert is pronounced koʊlˈbɛər, according to Wikipedia. His understudy is William Cavanaugh, who will be hosting The Late Show approximately one third of the time. Good luck, Bill!"

How Ryan Gosling doesn't get cast in more comedies is beyond me. He's brilliant.

I'm pretty sure on some level, Stephen genuinely lost control of the sketch.

The amazing thing about Russell is that he does all his jokes with absolutely serious face. That’s class.

I love how he very politely destroys the set haha

That whole segment was worth it for the very last joke.

Legend has it that Ryan Gosling is still saying "Bye!" to this day...

This is why I love it when Ryan Gosling does talk show interviews, he's always getting the crowd involved in some type of way.

I love how Stephan seems genuinely frustrated. Also Crowe’s aim was amazing. Love that they have such good chemistry

Russell screaming "RELOAD!" would be perfect for a war movie.

Lol I've never seen someone be so gentle ripping a paper 😂

The fact that he didn’t do a full tear of that paper, but just enough to piss you off is one of the most disrespectful things you can do to someone. Im still weezing from it😂😂😂😂

Haha.. The way he says 'Bye' is adorable

Is nobody going to comment on Russell Crowe's excellent aim?

You can tell here that Ryan is Canadian.
he's pissed off so he gently lays book on the ground, slightly rips a flyer, and leaves a pen uncapped.
true Canadian rage right there😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
