I’m a women’s basketball fan, I have season tickets the UCONN women’s basketball games. I came to this sport because I followed Rebecca Lobo. Many terrific players played for and against UCONN. My memories of UCONN players is sharp and living. However, Caitlin arrived on my basketball radar, and unfortunately the attacks on her seemed to attack the very game I had come to love.
But Caitlin loves this game, her joy as well as her amazing talent bring joy to me.
The sourness of Swoopes is a stain NOT on Caitlin but to the game, and that should bring her shame. The vultures that talk about her - can’t see the joy, because their own sense of self is shallow and dark.
