"oh that's right I took her didn't I? Where did I put her?" That line feels almost cruel because once hollyhock was put up for adoption she never talked or thought about her again

Henrietta screaming as Hollyhock is pulled away from her still makes me flinch and nearly skip it, along with Mr Sugarman burning Beatrice's baby doll. This episode has some heartbreaking moments in it and is a testament to some seriously good acting.

In a flashback to Bojack's childhood, Butterscotch said something along the lines of if his secretary got pregnant and refused to get an abortion, maybe he'd be married to her as well. Not as clear of foreshadowing, but still planting those seeds

The "waste of my husband's jizzum" line is also when Bojack thinks she's referring to him, and faking her senility. But she obviously meant Henrietta was a waste in a different way lol

I watched this show twice over two years and watching it a second time you see all the foreshadowing and feel the dread ticking as Bo Jack continues to make things worse. It is wonderful

I wonder how Henrietta is doing now. I wonder how much trauma she has from everything that happened with the Horseman's, and I wonder if she still thinks about Hollyhock; what could have been.

It's extra depressing because due to the fact her memories are pretty contradictory, it's implied she changed her mind and Beatrice basically forced her to give the baby away

No one mentions it but it says something that during Beatrice's dementia episode, where things are blurry and scratched out, she not only memorized Hollyhocks appearance but recognized her 17 years later through her dementia

In "Time's Arrow", Butterscotch tells Henrietta and Beatrice that they both remind him of his mother. Hollyhock has both of the features that Butterscotch references: Beatrice's diamond and Henrietta's hair.
