Great cover of the 1968 release by Tommy James and the Shondells. It was written by Tommy and his drummer, Peter Lucia Jr.

I grew up on this version!

I like the original by Tommy James and the Shondells, and love the Joan Jett and the Blackhearts version, but this is how I hear it in my head.

Every time I hear Tommy Roe sing Dizzy or anything else I think about the day I learned to drive a tractor cultivating soybean from Johnny Paulson near Forest City Iowa.

Tommy Roe. One of those mid 1960 voices that got lost in the shuffle once rock took a deridingly hard left turn 1969 and onward. I remember Dizzy. Maybe Tommy Roe remained true to his roots. It was me and my teen ears who moved on. Cream, The Doobie Brothers and Aerosmith, The Rolling Stones and so many other groups swayed me to move on past your sound.
