How to open a Camry hood

After posting this a while ago, I am still having some issues. What I discovered is that you can bend down the lever first with your finger and then you can get it to pivot the lock better. Good Luck!

i think mine is broke. in general:/ i don’t even feel anything under my hood and i check underneath but i still don’t see anything and i need to put oil bc my car is empty but i can’t do that bc my hood don’t open🤦🏽‍♂️

Thank you for this. Stupid mechanism. It seem to work ok up when new but after it gets old, you have to twist like this.

Yeah I had to look at this video to get my neighbor's Hood up because I couldn't get it up basically got to stick your finger almost to the back to release the hatch if your finger is too forward it won't lift crazy
