You severely underrated his offence. I think a better question you should ask is at his peak, what ranked scoring option can Scottie be on a championship contending team. With that in mind, I think Scottie can be a 25+ point scorer and the second option on a championship team.

If Scottie Barnes spends an offseason tightening his handles and finish moves, (maybe he could learn from siakam if he stays) he will already be able to score over 25 points if not more. Scottie Barnes is one of the few young players who I think has MVP upside. His passing and defense are already pretty much MVP level if he is able to score over 26 ppg I can see him winning multiple mvps.

This is why young players are so hard to rank. In 10 years from now, who knows where he will be? If his scoring takes another jump next year, he could be scary. If the Raptors’ “rebuild” around Scottie goes as planned, they could win a championship in 5-6 years. But anything can happen. I think it will also depend on how much he wants to win and how motivated he is. Like Kobe said, if Shaq was more motivated he coulda been top 2 all time (and no, I’m not comparing Shaq to Scottie lol). In my head I can see the Raptors winning a ring with him as the superstar but who the hell knows what the team will look like?

Scottie’s ceiling is top 75 and his floor is probably were I’d rank him currently like top 180, and after the Siakam trade he’s the main guy on the Raptors so he’s gonna get more touches now

hey andrew good take i agree that it is fairly early to judge where he’s gonna end up but i do think u are sleeping on him a bit. sure that second year was a bit mid but the jump he took this year is great. if he’s able to see another jump in the next year instead of a fall off we can be looking at a jayson tatum type of player for the raptors but less scoring and more well rounded
