Όλη η δόξα, όλη η χάρη άγια μέρα ξημερώνει
και τη μνήμη σου το Έθνος χαιρετά γονατιστό.
Και τα στήθη όλο φλόγα με τον ήλιο σου πυρώνεις,
που χρυσός με περηφάνια περπατεί στον ουρανό.

Στην Αγία Λαύρα πρώτα τις χρυσές ακτίνες χύνει,
που λεβέντες πρώτ' ανάψαν του πολέμου τη φωτιά.
Τη γαλάζια μας Σημαία με τη χάρη του λαμπρύνει
και του θείου Ιεράρχη χαιρετίζει τη σκιά.

Ομορφιά και δόξα χύνει όπου γη αιματωμένη
απ' το τιμημένο αίμα των παιδιών της κλεφτουριάς.
Τ' άγιο χώμα χαιρετάει και περήφανα διαβαίνει
από τα Ψαρά στο Σούλι και στο χάνι της Γραβιάς.

Απ' τη Ρούμελη κι εκείθε απ' την Κλείσοβα περνάει
και στο Μεσολόγγι μέσα χύνει το χρυσό του φως.
Την αιματωμένη γη του χαιρετάει κι ευλογάει,
όπου τόσοι σε μια νύχτα έπεσαν ηρωικώς.



All glory, all thanks, holy day is dawning

In Agia Lavra the golden rays first pour,
