MY STORY:

I am the CEO of Scooter's Lawn Care, Inc.: an award-winning lawn care, landscaping, and home service company with locations in central Illinois and southwest Florida.

I help others scale their lives, relationships & businesses on YouTube, on the GROW by Design podcast, in 1:1 coaching calls, and in my coaching group GROW Comm.

I first started my lawn care business part-time in 2014, while working full-time in the autobody industry. In 2015, I quit my job (with a pregnant fiancee) and risked everything to go full-time.

By 2019, Scooter's Lawn Care, Inc. was an award-winning, seven-figure company in Springfield, Illinois.

In 2021, I once again started from the ground up with a second location expansion in Cape Coral, Florida. By month three, my team was hitting $50,000/mo in revenue - climbing up on $100,000/mo before the first year's end. In under two years, my second location was selling over $200,000 in lawn care & landscaping services each month.

I share the wins and losses in our business journey - along with proven strategies to scale - on YouTube to help others grow.

GROW Comm is a one-of-a-kind, value-packed business growth training center, and networking community designed to scale service companies to seven-figures and create success & abundance in all areas of life.

Registration opens for a few days a few times each year.

Thank you so much for your support. I am wishing you all the success in the world.

Yeah that fixed rate sounds so much more profitable and promising hopefully the clients whether it’s residential properties or commercial properties also understand….

Thanks Jacob! Would you mind sharing the verbiage of the fixed plus safety net? I've tried using Chat GPT, but it just doesn't seem right.

I see alot of people feel when you charge hourly that youll drag the job out. but i also have seen where i have bid at a fixed price and like you said you get into it and the debri becomes more then thought.

Im in Maine i just started a dock and property maintenance business for myself and I'm definitely noticed it's easier to sell a job if you give a bid compared to selling it for a certain amount of hours also I've been starting myself at 35 an hour I'm just a one-man crew and I'm just wondering if I'm under selling myself on a price for example today I'm finishing cleaning up a leaf and medium to large branches that were in the yard there were a couple that I had to cut with my chainsaw I have a roughly 6 hours from yesterday and 3 hours from today I agreed to 500 dollars for the job I feel like that is little bit lower than what should be for a job this size any feedback would be awesome

My regular weekly and every 2 week clients, I tell them regular price and a half on leaf cleanup and I'm on the lawn every week. Non clients I tell them $100 an hour per man on the job for weekly service or $150 an hour per man if they let all leaves fall.

Something I learned (started last year) is that it takes 1 man hour per medium to large tree. Anyone find differently, please let me know.
