I'm sad that they didn't continue with the s8 and s9 design. It looks more premium with the curved edges and the glossy back. It also feels nicer to hold on your hand because of the smooth sides. I think i prefer the thicker top and bottom bezels than the punch hole since it looks more clean looking.

As much as I love my S21 Ultra, I gotta say.. I miss old phones like the S9 plus that actually still had features like the headphone jack, no hole punch and expandable storage. Shout out to the S9, Note 9 and older series phones. They were the best honestly IMO.

Yeah, the S9 series is still great. The only thing that held back my standard S9 was the 4 GB of RAM. The Note 9 that I used for a while in late 2022 ran without a hitch.

If it wasn't for the security updates not being continued on the S9+, I would have stayed, but sadly forced to upgrade for that sole reason. S9+ and Windows 7 will both go down in history as being peak of their line and everything else went downhill.

I actually thought the s9 plus held its own for the camera test, probably just me. I have an s23 ultra.

Thanks for confirming. I found it weird that my s9+ had sharper images than my s23 ultra but of course, a smaller screen implies sharper images than a bigger one

Still kept the S9 plus 256GB for a backup if any other phones just break,
best thing was it took a better picture because of where the lenses where placed as to new phones,
even holding new phones, your touching the lenses with your fingers o the back,
as the front camera wasn't in the top middle neither,
With no updates no-more, doesn't mean its no good at all as still selling these like new and unused,
Don't fall for Samsung's charms by saying you need a new phone every year as they are getting crap ever since 2021,

I have the S23 Ultra which i love such a great upgrade the battery life is amazing. I also have my previous phone s20 ultra but i can't part ways with it because of the micro sd expansion and its still the biggest screen samsung ever made on a smartphone

I'm getting an s23 ultra because it's the best on the market, and the ultra series will be for years to come.

Still rocking s9 plus since day 1 and working fine apart from tje usual battery drain, but has to be the closest I'm getting to upgrading, calling EE in the morning, and will Only upgrade if the deal is right as I'm quite happy with being on sim only too

I've had my S9+ for 5 or 6 years now and it works the exact same as when I first bought it. I only upgraded because my phone company was offering $800 off the SG 23 Ultra so decided to make the jump. I hope I enjoy the new phone.

I am using s8plus and it still runs without a problem. My only concern is the security update... i am thinking of upgrading to s23+ but worried it might be too big

Still prefer my S9+ display than any S23, no over heating issues thru the years and cpu more fluid after the previous updates.
