Armin van Buuren finally unleashes his new artist album ‘BALANCE’. As stated by Armin van Buuren, the album is about thinking in possibilities rather than definition, thinking about what music could be instead of what it should be. “Every song I make teaches me something new, and the next song is always a result of all my previous records, the new things I learned and the people I met”, the world-renowned DJ and producer says in the foreword of his album. “Over the years, this process - and especially the fun of creating - became more and more important to me. It’s a journey that gives me meaning and helps me learn more about my personal interests rather than focus on the recognition I get for the outcome. That’s the big difference between who I am today and who I was a few years ago. 'BALANCE' is a new chapter in my book of life, the result of venturing into known and unknown territories while finding the balance in between. This creative journey gives me the energy to do what I do, to keep going. I don’t want to think about what music should be. I want to think about what music could be."

My grandma passed away over 3 weeks ago and I'm a mess. From not-listening to music, to listening to sad songs, then this, then... Gosh. The emotional recovery is tough.

But lets just say that I feel the lyrics, and towards my deceased grandmother. She was the most empathetic, lovable person. She had raised me, taught me manners, taught me, and showed me, love. Which, I feel like, was never reciprocated in her 57 year marriage, not from my grandpa, or my mother, whom she lived with the entire life. I got into this world, realised the two aforementioned people just don't have it in them, and that I was an escape for her. I was the one thing, after years of depression and gaslighting, that made her grounded. And she did the same for me. Such a dear soul.

What's worse is that grandpa and mom don't know they're abusive. Absolutely oblivious to it. They don't know what they lack, and I doubt they'll ever find out. Now that grandma went to peaceful pastures, I have to move out, for my own sanity.

I don't think I'll ever get over her passing, just learning to cope, as time passes by. She even visited me last night, in a dream. We shared the warmest hug, that I genuinely doubt I'll find again in this life...

Bless her for making me find something real. Teaching me to love.

Desde 2008 que comencé a escucharte con el álbum "Imagine" desde entonces con apenas 10 años convertí en un gran fanático tuyo... No te he visto en vivo... Pero pongo cada track a todo volumen en cada y brinco tal cual lo haría el día en que pueda llegar a verte en vivo.

Let me tell you a story.
I saw Armin many times. Every time, it was magical. But my dream was to see him performing at Untold 2019, for these 5 years. It was also my mom's dream. She's a huge fan of Armin too.
So yeah. We got our tickets for Untold 2019, got our plane and hotel booked, everything was ready to achieve our dream. It was a huge travel, as we live in a country far from Romania.
We got super excited, and counted the days before going there.
But, because there is always a but, I got sick one week before the festival. I did my best to recover, but nothing could help. We even went to the airport, but I couldn't take the plane, as I felt really sick.
We were there, in this airport, with our stuff packed for the best time of our life, to achieve our dream, but my body decided otherwise.
We didn't take our plane.
We didn't went to Untold 2019
We didn't see Armin performing its set.
I saw my mom crying because it was her last festival (she's more than 50 now), because it was her dream to see Armin one last time, I cried too, because I ruined the dream of both of us.
To this day, I still can't listen to a single song from Armin. Everytime I hear a single note from him, I start crying like a little sh*t, because I hate myself so much for not letting us go to Untold 2019.
And this song is the worst, because it's my favorite from Armin.
So yeah. Nobody is ever going to read this. But I felt like writing this under this song, because it's the Anthem of Untold 2019. But also the Anthem of the dreams I broke.
