I remember BobCAD when I started working with EDM wire machines in a machine shop. It was okay to get going but eventually the shop switched over to Mastercam for everything Which is far superior of course but also quite pricey. Recently I've just picked up a little CNC machine for some hobby type work and fusion 360 is pretty awesome! Thanks for the video by the way 😁

I'm so happy I found it because after upgrade of Fusion I lost half of the day to understand why I can't make my work done. THANK YOU . I would also like to ask you if you have beed=n checking MACH4 and is it worth to move - is it really better quality that you can produce from the same machine ?

hey, great vid..i have started 4th axis ..is a bit scarier for me... is there any chance you could do a video on ... setting up and getting a 4th axis working.. things like which way the 4th is facing on the table..turn direction, and how to set it up in the post processor itself.

Hi, great video and I've learned a lot just from this one video. How did you edit the G53 line to be -.01 in your post, i'm struggling to find it? TIA 😊

Have you added the probe functions to the Mach3 post processor? If not do you know anyone who has? Why isn't ArtSoft cooperating with Autodesk and updating the Mach3 post processor?

If F360 is not the best, what is the best, and what can it do that Fusion cannot? Please be as specific as you can be.

Hoping you catch this comment, I was using Bobcad software but bobcad would no longer renew V19 after a computer crash, so I was looking for different software. Fusion 360 but I was told mach3 won't run on 360 using windows 10? If I buy mach3 again will it run on fusion 360 similar to that as mach3 with bobcad?

Hi Franco wondering if you could assist with an issue I’ve been having. I’ve been using fusion 360 for some time and I love the software but for whatever reason whenever I output the NC file to Mach3 there’s a white dashed line cube in the Mach 3 window which I’m assuming is it’s world and my tool path is along way away from this? What am I doing wrong?? I’ve been using Vectrix aspire to get my work done but I’m drawing things twice and fusion is a better program. I just want it to work! Any help greatly appreciated thanks Jack

I used a mach3mill for 5axis CNC... I found it in autodesk forums... but I have realised that when doing a simultaneous 5axis the pp to mach3 I got mach 3 to display deformed eccentric toolpaths for 5axis operations.. 3 axis operations are ok.. have you ever faced such a problem? and as far to your knowledge does this affect the real cutting toolpath?

I'm trying to add the "deBugPost" option.
What else are you having to add in besides the variable "deBugPost"?
Thanks,

SOLVED: 02/07/19 Fusion360v.2.0.5357 I posted to your and could not get it to work with debug:1; just posted like normal. But I got an update for F360 while I was working and re-started F360: BOOM-all the debug started working! Great addition.

Hi, I've been using your script and have been having a lot of issues with my Z axis either setting itself 3 inches above the part or more often somehow automatically setting the Z to a few inches below the part. I have to watch it like a hawk and stop if it is about to plunge. Happens more often after Ive been running mach 3 for a while. I'm on a Taig Mill.

For those of us that have Fusion 360 and the* demo * version of Mach3mill we are apparently limited to 500 lines of code. I can not find any answer to the question, * Is 500 lines of code enough* ? Is that part you made over 500? I have absolutely no idea how 500 relates to how big?? of a part I can make. My budget is tiny compared to some and this old brain learns slow nowadays. The word code means nothing to me.... lol. The mach liscense is almost as much as I have in materials. Some say mach is cheap but cheap is relative to how much money you have. I will try to find a free alternative if 500 lines is considered too small to be useful as a hobbyist.I don't think I can learn 2 versions in my lifetime. Thank you very much!.

To the author @Franco...
I hope you have gotten better since posting this video, but here are very bad phrases to use when instructing people on any subject:
... because it doesn't work for my machine...
... because I don't like to ...
... if you don't want to do that...
... I like to...
It is VERY difficult to follow instructions that provide no reason, context or purpose.
"liking" something is a personal emotion that does not help the listener with a means to help them with factors to help make decisions about the subject, which makes it almost worse than if you didn't say anything to begin with.
The big issue is that you have to assume the listener does not know WHY you are commenting on your decisions or how you do things.
WHY?
HOW?
WHEN?
What to do if that doesn't work.
