For a kid who never had a dad to play baseball with, Pete became my baseball dad in middle school. I was too poor to afford his VHS tape, Baseball the Pete Rose Way, so I bootlegged it after renting it. I watched it every night pretending he was my dad, wanting to be damn good. I became the kid who got picked on to the kid everyone wanted to play with. It really was like cheating. Pete’s doctrine on hitting is stupidly easy to follow, but very hard to master. Eventually, I led my high school
Team to win a State Championship. I love this guy so much, words cant truly express my gratitude. Rest Well Pete Rose 🙏🏼🙏🏼🌹🌹🌹

I was born in Hamilton, Ohio at 1 AM October 23, 1975 the Cincinnati Reds Won the 1975 World Series the day before. I remember when Pete Rose broke Ty Cobb's hit record in 1985 before my father died later that year. We will miss you Pete number 14!!!

Born in 1987. I wish I would have seen Pete play in person, and the rest of the Big Red Machine. Sad to see more of the only Reds dynasty dying. Rest well Pete

Our childhood idols are immortal in our eyes, so it never occurred to me that Pete would die at some point. I know it sounds silly but he lives forever in the heart of this Reds fan.

Wether he was the greatest baseball player of all time or not will always be debated but NOBODY played harder than Pete Rose...NOBODY. He laid it all on the line every single time he stepped out on the diamond and left a legacy that no shortcoming in his personal life could never erase. R.I.P Charlie Hustle. You were one of the best, and nobody can ever take that away from you.
