When Vanessa said “ up, up, up” to get Loki on the table, my Labrador thought she was talking to him and he jumped in my lap!

“I trust them almost 100%” said alongside a yawn big enough to fit your entire head inside.

Vanessa: You're a Leonberger, not a husky.
Loki: Fine, i'll sing the song of my people in German....

Loki is beautiful and you did a great job. I had a friend who is a groomer. She has a funny tale to tell. When this one cat would be brought in she would do the most hilarious thing ever. As soon as the cat was put on the table the cat would fall over all stiff pledged and would play dead! The groomer would totally groom the "dead" cat and it would magically come back to life when put in front of her carrier to go home! She did this every time! Lol!

I have encountered one who would go to school so children could read books to her. She was truly a gentle giant.

Aw, my Leonberger passed away yesterday at 10 years old, he was a rescue. They're truly gentle giants, I love them so much. Rest in peace, Moose.

"You have some gigantic balls. Okay then." Not what I was expecting to hear you say, but it made me laugh hysterically so here we are

Loki is the perfect good boy, and he even sang us some Christmas songs. I bet he gives great cuddles, too.

I let my dogs watch your Channel to brainwash them to love grooming

They are the SWEETWST dogs. We had them visit our work for a therapy day. They give the best hugs and cuddles.

One of the things I find interesting is how _quickly_ you can clock dogs that are 'unhappy and a little stressed but mostly just being a big baby about everything' compared to 'extreme anxiety to the point of real detriment and even possible danger'. Being able to see examples of this body language and how to appropriately respond to it is so helpful.

"We're not going to bark. " ...."ok, I will whine instead!" 🤣🤣 Loki is a very handsome young man!

I love seeing the smalish Vanessa groom these gentle giantts that are almost twice her size with heads 4x hers. He is a beautiful dog and very cute.

Aww, seeing this reminds me of the 4 Leonbergers I have had through my life, what a nostalgic feeling. I used to groom them myself, a monumental task 😅

I had a Leonberger GSD cross he was the most amazing loving dollop of a dog. His most dangerous attribute was getting whacked with his big fluffy tail. He was 13 when he died and left an Alfie sized hole in my heart. Xx

His brief impression of a husky was spot on

Leonbergers are wonderfully gentle animals. I was fortunate enough to get to cuddle a wonderful gentleman at Crufts several years ago. He had decided to lay himself out on the floor on his back, stretching to a good seven feet, and was very happy to allow complete strangers to lay or sit down next to him to enjoy what was a very soft, fluffy coat that was doubtless the product of several hours of hard work by his groomer. He actually preferred to have a cuddle buddy, and belly rubs, and would whine sadly when anyone left, prompting the next person to sit with him.

For anyone wondering, neutering/spaying isn't done on these animals until they're well into their second or third year usually. This is to allow for their bodies to grow properly as those massive frames require the hormonal input from intact reproductive organs - they also require special diets and a LOT of food! It's important to remember this if you're thinking of getting any large breed because you'll have to consider their very natural reactions to the scent of any reproductively active females in the area and the cost of having a secure fence and a mountain of pet food.

I've met one of these. He was laying on the floor like a big fluffy rug. Very sweet dog.
