I’m new to the Tacoma world. I kinda think the 3.5 is gutless even with a tune which helped a lot and they suck fuel. I would be happy with either some real low end power or decent fuel milage. I do love my truck so far but it has way less power and several mpg less than my previous f150. Pretty sure the milage sucks do to being gutless.

After watching your video I just started loving more and more my 2021 Tacoma with all of its sluggishness LOL. Yeah, the Turbo In-line 4 engine sounds about right if is going to make the same or even more power than the current V6 3.5L. They should keep the V6 and put a Turbo for the high end trim models though.

I'm fine the way the Tacoma is now but want more power and torque and I'm not liking the color choices at all for 2022 some packages have different colors choices the off-road has less choices than sport it complicated and I dislike the new blue I forgot the name

If those folks at GM can biuld a NA V6 that makes almost 310HP with about the same MPG for their POS Colorado lineup.
There's absolutely no reason that Toyota couldn"t biuld a 330hp or better NA V6.
Will they do it, likely not but we can wish for one.

How much of that fuel economy is driven by the EPA/government? I'm just curious, because otherwise I totally agree. I'd trade back some fuel economy for performance. I'm still on the fence regarding the Sprint Booster and I'm definitely leaning towards getting one.

I think that Toyota is at the top of their game with the Tundra and Tacoma in QDR. The 2021 Tundra has been updated for years to get where it is and it is perfect at this point. That is why I am keeping my 2021 and not considering a 2022 as I will be disappointed. I see the Tacoma can also be massaged to get another 3 to 5 years out of the current body style so that it is perfect in 3 to 5 years. It is the next generation of truck buyers (those poor 20 and 30y/o's) that will have to suffer through all this new government imposed crap as they will be needing trucks over the next decades.

Toyota CEO early this year responded to looney Koizumi, Japanese minister of environment’s plan that there will be no gas powered vehicle produced in Japan after 2030: Toyota CEO said it will require at least 11 new Nuke Power plants with current number of gas powered vehicles in Japan... and Japanese are “allergic” to nuke power they haven’t started back up most of existing nuke power plants since Fukushima disaster... and let’s see how many nuke power plants will be needed for USA if we all went EV. Japan is size of California with less than half population of USA. Maybe at least 22 new nuke power plants? USA is about 26 times bigger than Japan: maybe we need 11x26(size)x2(pop)=572 new nuke power plants?
