Kinda wish you could do desktop mode on all android phones if plugged in (assuming it supports usb alt-mode)

And also allow linux apps if keyboard and mouse is also plugged in

I wish I could just use desktop mode on the touchscreen, I think it works great with samsung dex on a tablet

It's great to see Desktop Mode finally available! I hope Google will extend this feature to all new Pixel 9 series phones when connected to an external display, like Samsung Dex, especially the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. This would significantly enhance the value proposition of foldable phones.

7:45 the app scaling looks atrocious. That's one of the things Samsung DeX does exceptionally well which makes for a good experience and makes the windows truly useful as the content scaling inside the windows actually makes sense. That, and the taskbar on DeX functions very differently from the standard tablet mode taskbar in that you can minimize the floating windows to it and keep them running.

Window management for tablet is one of the best updates. Hopefully these improvements roll into desktop mode.

Waiting for a Pixel Tablet 2 with a Tensor G4 but with a better GPU!

Pixel Tablet 2 with this functionality is gonna be amazing.

What I wish for the Pixel Tablet 2:
- Tensor G4
- 12/16GB RAM
- 7 years of updates
- Mini (9") and XL (13") versions (the big one particularly good for desktop mode)
- Using the same Dock as Pixel Tablet
- At least 90hz
- LTPO screen lo lower power usage
- Google Pixel Pen

We desperatly really need something like DeX or even better that this in AOSP. And a way better Pixel Tablet that can actually compete with iPad and Samsungs top of the line tablets

I'd love smaller notifications at ALL times. Actually, I want pop-up notifs to take over the top status bar temporarily and not take up any extra space. I HATE when notifs pop up while I'm trying to read or click where the notif is.
