I wish all Epi pens came with the blue and orange. I had ones that were yellow and black.

This is why I am always on my best friend about having her epi pen bc she always eats the foods she’s allergic to and her throat gets tight but doesn’t close. She NEEDS to keep it on her and knows if she even thinks about eating gluten she has to be with me bc I’m the only friend of hers whose gone through training and knows how to administer one without getting sued

Hey y'all! Just a reminder; in the U.S, an EpiPen costs $650 to $750. A non-brand name epinephrine auto injector costs $150 to $400.

A 1mg/ml Vial 1:1, 000 epinephrine... (of which the sale is controlled, in the U.S)... Costs $24.88. Three syringes with draw AND injection needles are less than $5.

I have a cinnamon allergy and I have an EpiPen just in case I’ve never swelled up (bad) but if I eat too much on accident, I could swell up. and once when I was 14 I had a lot on accident I think I had two pieces of banana bread and it had a lot of cinnamon in it and my face and mouth started to get red but I’m OK thankfully.

I have a "friend" who, on a school trip that lasted a week, faked a reaction on the first evening. She had an EpiPen in her bag and we were pretty frantic to find it. We were 5 in the room. Two ran for a teacher, literally pushing people out of the way. The other one still in the room looked for her EpiPen while I searched up how to use one. A teacher came running with my two friends together with the trip nurse. Right as my "Friend" saw the teachers she said "I was just She stressed out the whole room, AND the teachers and nurse, just for a prank. She also faked a seizure, but stopped after only 30 seconds or so. Same friend also never did any cleaning during the cleanup time before we got our phones. There was a schedule for who would clean where each day, and she never did ANYTHING. She would get down on the floor and just... Sit there. And when someone came in and told her to hurry up she would wipe a wet piece of paper on a wall for 10 seconds then stop.

To those who are worried about using an epi pen. I have an allergy and have never used one before. Although I’ve had an allergic reaction about 4 times. My allergy is very common, can you guess?? Tree nuts! Many people though are confused and never knew there’s a difference between nuts and peanuts. So when I say I’m allergic to nuts, I mean nuts without the peanuts. I love peanut butter! But back to the point. Just know, an epi pen in there for an emergency. I have a severe allergy (usually I only throw up) so I have a risk up choking. That’s why the epi pen is important. And don’t worry; the needle may hurt! But hey, a little pain for about 20 seconds is better than not breathing! 😂 That was a bad joke… but I’m not afraid of my allergy that much! Just remember your body is only doing what it knows best!

I’m gonna send this to my friend. She was really close to having allergic reaction. She almost ate something she’s not supposed to eat.
