Paul - you are at THE RIGHT PLACE! I bought my bus there last year from Tony. You cannot go wrong with AAA Bus! Tell Tony I said “hello” and my build is coming along nicely!

The Airline tracks can be rough to remove. I'd leave them with the roof raise and just insulate around them. Then re-use some of them to hold your living fixtures securely in the bus. US Cargo Control and others sell bolt on track fixtures. I used airline track to build custom captains chairs in my most recent poorly edited build video.

Ive watched a couple of your vids in a row and looking thru them all, it looks like you literally did exactly the plan i had in mind. I want to start in a stepvan or large box truck and i was thinking of my upgrade being a bus as opposed to an actual RV. On top of that you are doing the homestead life which is also a major piece of my life plan. You mentioned many reasons alike as to why. If i had those necessary skills, i would have started already. I have to subscribe because its wild how many of the same things in my plan you actually took the same steps already to. You guys seem so happy too which is so confirming and inspiring. Cheers!

Kids all over Marana were transported in that sweet bus. It's already got stories.

Well you started at the right place. And a pre-emissions model too. And the Allison 2000 series is a good one as well.

Very nice bus, Paul. We are planning to get one from AAA in a few months if everything goes to plan! Thanks for sharing, we haven't met Tony but have heard he is awesome. 👍

Paul, excellent choice in your bus, and where you bought it. I bought mine last year from Tony. Got the 40' Bluebird All American (2003) Cummins 8.3. My build got off to a very slow start due to my fulltime job. But now I don't have that issue any more, now working FT on the build. BTW - your VW bug is way cool! Never woulda guessed it had a Honda motor until the last part of the video.

Dude I'm getting a bus next month to replace my destroyed rv and I saw it behind you as you were filming it was the one with the number 1 on the bumper a 40 foot bus and it will be my new home slash toy hauler and my bikes will go in the garage that will be in the back 10 feet of the bus.

I have a recent bus build that I was hired to fabricate & weld a lot of misc, including the raised roof that required my four ft Pexto rolling machine to form radius font roof panels, just a heads up if your thinking of shortening that rear end ? I saw your post and heard your thoughts that it maybe too long ? Anyway, i mostly provide mobile welding onto a safe work environment/ property. Kevin

Toy hauler capable with the wheelchair rig. Quad or bike for sure

All respect to your build ideas, but if it were me I would keep that lift in the back for loading heavy objects like a refrigerator or couch or washer/dryer. OR even a scooter/small motorcycle to put around on at a campground. Yes you have the back door, but that lift could also double as a deck or outdoor cooking table when locked at the desired height. If you put some kind of awning over the top of it and then ran screen some mosquito screen around all three sides you could chill in a chair outside and not get eaten by make the cover non see through all around and install a shower head swing out pipe and have a place to take showers "outside" all be it covered on all sides..it would keep humidity out when it isn't wanted...(my brain dump)
