Easy Short Curly/Wavy Hair Routine| Curly Girl Method

*** Hard to tell in the video but I apply my gel & mousse to soaking wet hair**** In this video I show you guys my every day "on-the-go" curly hair routine. Please note that the products I am using do contain "polyquats" in them. Some strict curly girls may not like these ingredients & so you could replace the conditioner with any other silicone free conditioner " I like Tresemme Botanicals" & you could also replace the mousse or not use it at all. I don't get a buildup with polyquats but I DO sulphate free shampoo my hair once a week now or I'll get little flakes (not on my scalp) in my actual hair. Hope this helps.

Conditioner Used: CANTU TXTR leave in/rinse out (Sally Beauty, Walmart, Ulta)
Gel: Biotera (exclusively at Sally)
Mousse: Herbal Essences Totally Twisted Curl Boosting Mousse

I'm 53, stopped dyeing my hair about 6 months ago, have curly/wavy hair that I could never control, so I punished it with heat, and now just learning about this method. I had this idea that I needed to switch to mousse so my hair wouldn't get weighed down but now I know gel gives me better definition. You look adorable with your new cut.

I have a tip, I tried using distilled water in my 'refresher' spray bottle, mixed with a little product. It left my hair softer than tap water does. Its especially good for hard water areas. I had bottles of rose water and orange blossom water in my food cupboard, I thought i'd try them for the smell, then realised they're distilled. Any distilled water is fine, it doesnt have to be scented. Im enjoying your videos btw, thanks
