Pink Diamond - Steven Universe Animatic (I Won´t Say I´m in Love)

After I found out Megara (Disneys hercules) had the same voice actor as rose/pink („I won´t say“ is one of my favorite disney songs) I just had to make an animation with pink, singing this song!
It seemed to fit so perfectly to pinks story and her loving the earth.You could say this video is a sneak peek for the full animation ;p

I know some of you are still waiting for the colored version of „stronger than you - sans“
and I´m really sorry for disappointing you… but I lost my motivation a bit after losing the data with the almost finished colored version…I´m determined to redo the whole thing some day, but for know I´ll concentrate on Pink. I fell in Love with this one :)

I love how she’s sad to turn against the other Diamonds showing she still had some kind of guilt leaving them

The part that gave me the most chills was 1:38- 1:46 bc of how distressed all of the diamonds feel ((maybe expect for white diamond))

But seeing yellow actually in a state of panic made the situation/imagery more real. Rose declaring at the diamonds when she is a diamond herself; whether she likes it or not, they are her family.

I love this video, It shows that Rose / Pink wasn’t all that bad. She was trying to escape from the Diamonds control and Be on Earth with her friends and be happy. I believe Rose / Pink had good ideas just the wrong ways of doing them. VolleyBall, Spinel, Bismuth, and Pearl understand what she was trying to do either in that moment or in the Future but overall forgive her. I’m perfectly fine with the Fandom not agreeing with me, this is my Own opinion.

Very lovely. This was a love song, but here it becomes PD's self-reflection on her feelings and decision toward earth.

Focusing on PD's love toward earth rather than a gem/human creates a dramatic conflict in her personality. A diamond who loves all lives on a planet, but also has some selfish behavior.

The ending sequences, from diamonds face-off to PD looking at all Crystal Gems, are my favorite. They add a variety of emotion to this animation. I can find determination, anger, relief, regret on PD, I can feel how much she gave to the world she loves.

This is cute, warm but also bitter. Really like the complicity in your interpretation to the character and the song.
