Tom Hanks Lashes Out at Fans After One Bumped Into His Wife

A furious Tom Hank lashes out at some over-eager fans! The actor lost his temper when fans bumped into his wife, Rita Wilson, as they left a restaurant. It happened outside of the ritzy Nobu restaurant in Midtown Manhattan. Hanks and his wife made their way to an SUV when fans surrounded the married couple seeking autographs. A guy bumps into Rita after she stops due to another fan getting in her way. This made Tom angrily confront the mob. As he turns away, one person apologizes.

His reaction is totally reasonable. For contrast, I was working as a server serving champagne backstage at the First Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards in the mid 90's. I tripped and dropped my entire tray, champagne and broken glass spraying everywhere. I got down on my knees and started cleaning up when I realized that two people who saw this were also on hands and knees helping me pick up the broken glass. It was Tom and Rita, and they stayed with me, picking up shards of glass and helping to keep others from slipping on it until someone arrived with a broom and mop to finish the job. What a humble and generous couple!

I respect him for defending his wife. That just shows he was setting boundaries as you all have said and to be perfectly fair, she could have gotten hurt if she had fallen over completely. He had every right to tell them to back up, he was just protecting the love of his life…
