The actual music often gets overlooked because Chinos voice is so recognizable. Don't get me wrong: Chino is one of my favorite vocalists. But Deftones get categorized with Nu-Metal because of his Soft/Hard style that was prevalent at the time. They are super Post-Rock at times and it's easier to recognize how different they are from the crowd they came up in without his vocals. Fucking love this band AND Team Sleep AND Palms. Everything any one of these men touches becomes great. RIP Chi.

I love hearing instrumentals like these, You really hear the depth of the song and you can feel it in your soul and it changes your whole perspective on the song itself. Chino is a very talented singer and I love his voice, but once you get to hear the instrumentals it’s like you’re hearing a completely different song. Everytime I listen to this song with the vocals back in, The song is completely different I can hear all the intruments and know when they’ll come in. that’s what I love about music like this. Music is something i feel like i can connect to on a really deep level and i won’t ever understand how people don’t feel the same way I feel with music. This song is beautiful, and it’s honestly helped me through so much. I love you Chino and I love deftones

I can't believe this song is so old. Didn't age at all in my opinion.. That calmness in the beginning slowly progressing into something different and then back to the chill vibe really plays with your mind, that guitar tingling the ears. True masterpiece.

This is my boyfriend's favorite song, , , ever since he left for boot camp to become a United States Marine this is all I can find myself listening to. Not only does it make me feel closer to him, but I also feel that the song perfectly encapsulates how in feeling about everything. I got so used to seeing him everyday, going on late night drives, laughing at everything each other said, falling asleep on the phone most nights.. I got so used to all of this and for that to end so abruptly makes me feel so empty inside. I can't wait to see him become a Marine, something he's wanted ever since he was a kid, I'm endlessly happy for him and so proud of him but I can't help but feel lonely and sad and this song just feels exactly like that to me.
