How to Install 7-Zip on Windows 11

In this video I am going to show How to Install 7Zip on Windows 11 operating system. 7-Zip is open source software. Most of the source code is under the GNU LGPL license. The unRAR code is under a mixed license: GNU LGPL + unRAR restrictions. Check license information here: 7-Zip license.

With the free download of 7 Zip you get a classic of the pack programs. It has a high compression rate in 7z, ZIP and GZIP format. When unpacking it also supports all other popular formats.

Oh man, thank you so much!!I After I installed 7zip, I was so confused why I wasn't seeing 7zip as an option to extract a file. I must of uninstalled and reinstalled 7zip at least 4 times bc I thought I did something wrong during the installation! Thank you for explaining that with windows 11 you need to click "Show more options" at the bottom. Windows 11 is very different 😕

Thanks for clarifying which file I should DL to install 7Zip. Please excuse me pointing out one error which is a pet peeve of mine. You mention file while you are referring to a "folder" or "directory". I see this confused often which confuses the person trying to learn from someone else. A folder or Directory is where we place similar files for the purpose of organization and efficiency. Sorry, I started in DOS so this very basic structure is embedded in my file and folder management. Again, thanks for info.
