The story is about William, my childhood friend, who is no longer with us. He was renovating this beautiful old boat, but he never got to put it in the water. A year ago, my family lost my Uncle Adam to circumstances we still don't know. He was only 35. I was looking forward to inviting him to my High school graduation that year. That invitation never was sent. This will be our second Christmas without him. This song is now one of my new favorites, it makes my heart ache and want him back but it also makes me thankful that he was in my life and that I have all my memories and pictures with him.
