Glitterbox is a nightlife phenomenon and record label conceptualised in 2014 by Simon Dunmore, founder of house music institution Defected Records (est. 1999). Since its inception, Glitterbox has generated an inclusive, uplifting party atmosphere designed to unite all ages, persuasions and walks of life on the dancefloor. Glitterbox calls on the world’s most respected DJs such as Louie Vega, Kenny Dope, Bob Sinclar, Dimitri From Paris, Purple Disco Machine and Horse Meat Disco alongside PAs from disco titans Kathy Sledge, Jocelyn Brown and Barbara Tucker. Ascending stars like Jayda G, Honey Dijon, Kiddy Smile, Folamour, Harvey, Moodymann, Girls of The Internet, Natasha Diggs and many more take to Glitterbox’s stage to showcase dance music in its purest forms.

Very few DJ's do an interview as well as Dunmore. Entertaining, honest, humble, and useful (for any aspiring DJ's / audience who may not understand some aspects easily taken for granted)

The UK*USA album with David Morales and Danny Rampling started my house journey back in 2000. From then there were some brilliant compilations, like the Defected Sessions (especially twelve with Little Louie Vega, Tony Humphries and Tedd Patterson), Barfly-series and Hed Kandi. Simon's word ring so true, the music back then was much more interesting with strong soulful vocals that you could listen to for 6 minutes. Today Glitterbox keeps this going. This set really was a joy to listen to, good memories! Hope Glitterbox continues to keep this wonderful genre alive! Thanks for all your work, Simon!

Special this. Was at Printworks for last Defected show but couldn’t make the GB one. Recently lost a DJ brother in his early 40s and sorting through our collective vinyl (which includes almost all of these played) brought a tear to the eye. Happy retirement SD ❤
