A gorgeous piece of music, which I have heard here for the first time, Sibelius in sublime mood. Beautifully played by this small ensemble, and very well recorded too in a fine old building with great acoustics. Sibelius was a very good violinist and it shows. The unexpected percussion at the end came as a complete surprise. One of the many unexpected musical treasures that Youtube now hosts and you can trip upon. Thank you for whoever posted this.

When you are out to dinner with a nice looking, pleasant date and you are wishing you were here with that other person, that's how I feel listening to this piece. I dream of Tchaikovsky and the miracle of his Serenade for Strings.
